Hello Reader, If you want tender roast beef that you can slice instead of shred, try cooking a bottom round roast in the crock-pot. It takes just about 15 minutes to prep, then I cook it low and slow over a bed of onions until tender. Those onions get wonderfully soft and flavorful, and the cooking juices are definitely worth saving! Read all about it here👇
And here's my favorite part: You can take dinner in two completely different directions. Serve the sliced beef with the onions and turn the cooking juices into gravy for a classic roast dinner. Or pile thin slices onto a baguette, add the onions and cheese, and serve the au jus on the side for French dip sandwiches. This was actually a favorite at our make-ahead meal stores!
